The porcupine purports to dine
on bark of pine and turpentine,
while people dine on sparkling wine
and swine and pork with knife and fork.
But if for pork you pine, then mind:
This torpid kind sports portly spines
to pierce the rind of those inclined
to irk the poor cute porcupine.
