loving partners: To most people in our culture, marriage is a special bond between committed loving life-partners.
homophobes: Those who would harry homosexuals and deny them the right to marry their chosen partners like to distinguish between heterosexual marriage, which they view as imperiled, versus ‘gay marriage’, which they view as intolerable. Instead, their fear and intolerance merely distinguishes them as homophobes.
